Who Sparkled this Saturday?
Joy Cutler Jewelry
Today on Saturday Sparkle, I'd like to show you some gorgeous jewelry designs from Joy Cutler Jewelry. Joy Cutler is Philidephia-based jewelry designer who creates true organic dreams in metal. Her design work is substantial, and her pieces have a sculptural and organic appeal that capture the awe and wonder of natural movement--Some of her pieces remind me of bubbling waters and others conjure up imaginings of Vesuvian molten lava flows.
Joy Cutler's background is as a writer and performer in Berlin, and after a successful career in the theater, she returned to the US to pursue her interests in the visual arts. She studies jewelry design in New York City, and holds a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in ceramics from the California College of the Arts and a Master of Arts in Performance and Interdisciplinary Art from San Francisco State University. In addition, she has worked as an art instructor at both the Bronx Museum and Bronx Community College. To learn more about Joy's wonderful collections and work, visit her website and read a recent review of her work at this Daily Candy Post. And, before you go, enjoy a selection of my favorite pieces from her Terra and Sola collections below--it will be inspirational!
