I'm Having a Girl Moment!
Voila! I'm in Love with My New Mohop Sandals...
OK... so I can get pretty excited about a lot of things, but I had a serious girl moment last week when my new Mohop Sandals arrived. Born and raised in California, I have a real love for sandals--ask anyone who has seen my shoe closet and they'll attest to the strength of my sandal fetish. So, as a self-proclaimed-sassy-sandal-expert, I'm being totally serious when I say that Mohop Sandals are like A Horse of a Different Color and Ruby Slippers combined.
If you haven't tried a pair of Mohop Sandals before, tiptoe over to mohop.etsy.com and have a look. They are the ingenious creation of designer Annie Mohaupt in Chicago. Annie is a trained architect who first came up with this patent-pending design in 2005-- a design that lets you lace any ribbon through elastic loops on the base to create a one-of-a-kind look with a comfortable, custom fit.
What I love about Mohop Sandals most? In addition to the closet space I'll save because of their versatility, Mohop Sandals also make perfect financial sense...Using just one pair of wooden Mohop soles, I can walk over to my local craft store, pick any length or style of ribbon and create an unlimited number of looks! I feel like the Imelda Marcos of ribbon and shoes all at once! ****If blog posts came with sound, this is where's I'd insert the Angel-Ahhhh sound****
So anyways...thanks for letting me indulge in a girl moment today. I think Annie's Mohop Sandals are such a creative and great idea, I couldn't keep it to myself. The pair I ordered arrived nicely packaged and super quick. They also came with a variety of ribbons to get me started and with a packet of ideas for ways to tie them. I'm also stoked to report that in addition to being super cute... they are also cushy comfortable and a perfect fit for my sandal lifestyle!

I can't wear heels, I hope they come out with a shorter version, I've been lusting over these for a while.
well, they sure are interesting, but not something i personaly adore.
I had to come back after weeks and say-- it was because of this post that I remembered how much I had loved & wanted Mohop sandals in the past. As a result, my mother got me the 4" wedges for Christmas.
