Thursday Thoughts: Oh how I love shopping on Etsy!

>> Thursday, November 6, 2008

So, if you're a regular reader of my blog, you've probably figured out that I love buying handmade. Well, for the last few months, I've been looking for a unique and versatile cocktail table for my living room. And, I really wanted it to be something unlike anything one of my friends might have.

So....I looked all over, both online and off, and finally settled on this one-of-a-kind Custom Order, Small Coffee/Cocktail Table (in Empire Red) from the michaelarras shop on Etsy.

Custom Order, Small Coffee/Cocktail Table

These one-of-a-kind cocktail/coffee tables are made by joining together pieces of birch plywood into one whole table top. Each segment is connected to the others with strong mortise-and-tenon joints, and coated with a durable, water-based, semigloss finish. They arrive well-packaged and include easy-to-understand instructions for assembling the legs to the top. And...I just love it!

That coffee table is awesome! I keep adding it to my favorites list on Etsy and they keep selling so fast they are gone the next time I look at my list. But, one day I am going to get my hands on one too. It looks great!

Love the red you chose. This is definitely a conversation piece.

About This Blog

It first started as a way to share the inspiration behind my beaded jewelry creations with family and friends. Next thing you know, this blog became a hobby on steroids--complete with a logo!

In my not-so-virtual-reality, I'm a freelance technical and marketing communications consultant who spends her time doing geeky things in the high-tech industry. But on my little blog here, I write about indie fashion and jewelry (mine and others). And if the kitchen's been good to me...I might even throw in an occasional recipe.
