Friday Findings: Fun and Funky Fibers
>> Friday, July 11, 2008

This week, you can't accuse me of trying to pull the wool over your eyes. Although, I might be guilty of trying to add some wool to your wardrobes! I'm a firm believer that artist-made jewelry is always a great way to add some spunk and sophistication to your wardrobe. However, to really liven things up and make a bold fashion statement, look no further than jewelry inspired by the fiber arts.
This week's Friday Findings collection is surprisingly original. It's a showcase of fun and fashionable jewelry pieces that use a blend of fiber techniques such as sewing, quilting, crocheting and felting. So without further ado, take a look at these funky fiber art designs and let me know what you think!

The Dusty Pink Felted Tiers Necklace is perfect for any season and features a contrasting white vintage button closure. It's also available in a variety of custom colors from littlepurls in Sacramento, CA.

It comes on an adjustable ring base that fits most sizes. The Fuzzy Flower Ring and other great pieces are available from The Funky Felter in Kansas City, MO.

I once bought some felt balls and really didn't see how they could be made into jewelry. Your post certainly shows they can indeed make funky jewelry!
