Friday Findings: My Secret Ring Fetish
>> Friday, June 27, 2008

This week, I have a secret to confess with you...
(I have a ring fetish!)
As a little girl, I used to dream of how romantic it would be to get a ring from the man I loved as an engagement present. However, now that I'm all grown up and single, receiving that kind of ring is still one item on my waiting list. So, instead of moping around and moving about town with these painfully bare fingers showing, I've made a promise and a pact with myself : To decorate my bare fingers with some finesse and flair after every break up!
If any of you PM's out there are single, or if you're just frighteningly reminiscent with the in's and out's that are possible in this crazy world of dating, let's just say… I'm the Imelda Marco's of rings. And, you can be too after seeing today's fabulous Friday Findings ring collection:
Trash Ring
Lisa's Lovelies

I love the concept behind the idea of taking trash to treasure. And, this terrific Trash Ring gets its name because the designer put a little something here, and little something there -- which ended up perfect! This band features a lovely royal garnet framed by beautiful budded wraps and magical bends to an oxidized and textured and polished sterling silver. It comes from Lisa at Lisa's Lovelies in New Hampshire.
Black Hole Ring
Mike and Mary

I love the strong lines and deep circles in this gorgeous silver band aptly named the Black Hole Ring. It's hand fabricated out of silver and has been drilled and brushed to a nice luster. It can even be made to order in any ring size. It comes from an incredibly talented husband and wife team of self-taught jewelers, Mike and Mary, in Norman, OK.
Rose and Raspberry
One Garnet Girl

For those who fancy something with a more feminine flair, this beautiful (and stackable!) Rose and Raspberry ring features three stones: A faceted Pink Tourmaline, a Smoky Quartz and a Rhodolite Garnet. They balance atop three graceful textured silver bands and were created by Madelynn at One Garnet Girl in Massachusetts.
Small Square Bubble Ring in Red
Mann Made Designs

Sometimes, girls just gotta have fun and this uber-fun Small Square Bubble Ring in Red is made from sterling silver, with a prong set of aluminum square bubbles in the color of your choice. Rings can be created in a number of sizes with a message to the seller at checkout. This solid and sassy piece comes from designer Jimmy Mann at Mann Made Designs in the Washington DC area.
17 Jewels Antique Steel Watch Part with TONS of Detail and natural rubies Adjustable Ring
Jewels of Luxury

I love something unique and different, and this 17 Jewels Adjustable Ring made from antique steel watch parts is super fabulous. I love the detail of captured using the inner workings of an Elgin watch that feature natural rubies. This creative piece comes from Michelle at Jewels of Luxury in Ohio.
Autumn Ring
Michabella Creations

One of my favorite inventions ever is the Swarovski pearl. It's a glass pearl that is sturdy and full of brilliant luster. The gorgeous pearls in the Autumn Ring feature all the fabulous colors of fall, and are accented beautifully by a gorgeous sterling silver ring with scroll work. The ring is available from Michelle at Michabella Creations in Pennsylvania.
Jayne Ring
Jessi's Jewelry

If you are a fan of the sci-fi TV series Firefly, this unusually striking Jayne Ring was created just for you. It's been crafted from sterling silver that's been oxidized to a dark gunmetal color, and it features a beautiful 5mm faceted black spinel stone. It also have the character name Jayne from the TV series stamped on the inside of the band and comes to us from Jessi's Jewelry on Etsy.
