Yay! A Blogging Award!

I got a message today from the author of the Art Addict blog, who is also a fantastic jewelry designer and fellow member of the Etsy Wedding Team. Thanks so much Valerie! I am supposed to now pass the award along to five other blogs I hold in esteem. So without further adieu, here are my five blog picks for this award today.

Fashion, Design & Lifestyle Blog. This is a new blog in the world of Etsy Street Teams -- a collaborative project founded by Etsy seller missbubbles. The group was formed in March with the goal of uniting similar minded enthusiastic artistic people, who are passionate about style, fashion, life and good taste in every step of their daily lives. The team is together in order to develop their skills, share experiences, and achieve highest individual potential by networking and working on various projects together. Getting a new blog and Street Team off the ground is hard work, so come on by, and show this talented group of designers your support!

JCN Studios Blog. This is a blog by a very talented jewelry designer, Jennifer. She is an avid bead stringer with a great eye for color. It's fun to see and read about the new items she is posting to her shop. She makes all different styles of jewelry, and its really lovely stuff. I very much recommend a visit to her blog.

Shabby Accumulations. This is a relatively new blog from an Etsy seller, DistressingDelilah. Her vintage jewelry creations are a lot of fun and super attractive, and she creates them using a mix of vintage jewelry findings, new items, and china. If you're a fan of vintage pieces, you should totally check her site out.

KKPW Designs by Shannon. Shannon is another very talented jewelry designer based in the Sacramento area of California. Her pieces featured in Wire Jewelry Magazine, www.twinsoup.com, and www.fashionsac.com. Shannon has also been chosen as one of 10 designers to feature on www.fashion-networks.com. Be sure to check out her blog, she does amazing things with silver!

White Iris Designs. The White Iris Designs blog is authored by a wonderful jewelry designer, Tammy. Tammy also happens to be an exceptionally talented floral designer. She designs floral arrangements by day and jewelry by night. I love to stop by Tammy's blog, because jewelry and flowers are two things that always cheer me up!

Here’s the rules:

1. You have to pick 5 blogs that you consider deserve this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and also contributes to the blogging community, no matter what language.

2. Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his/her blog to be visited by everyone.

3. Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that has given her/him the award itself.

4. The award winner and the one who has given the prize have to show the link of “Arte y Pico’ blog, so everyone will know the origin of this award. http://www.arteypico.blogspot.com/

5. To show these rules.

Thanks again to Valerie from Art Addict!
Happy Monday!

About This Blog

This blog first started as a way to share the inspiration behind jewelry making with family and friends. Next thing you know, my blogging became a hobby--complete with a logo!

In my not-so-virtual-reality, I'm a freelance technical and marketing communications consultant who spends her time doing geeky things in the high-tech industry. But my real fun comes from making jewelry, which you can find in my Etsy shop at: http://capitolagirl.etsy.com
