Save Me! Sunday

A very good friend of mine has been in my thoughts today. Actually, he's been in my thoughts for several days. He's been receiving medical care, as he's been very sick. It sounds like things just need to run their course, and that he'll be back to his old self one day. This was good news to hear after several days of not knowing what was going on. I had been worried he was sick, so hearing some word about his situation yesterday, I was really relieved. Without going into a lot of detail, I will say that the past few days have been very challenging for me personally.

To keep busy, I've been going through my collection of beads. Mostly organizing things. I find that when life starts feeling like its getting a little crazy and out of control, a good cleaning and organizing can get things feeling like they are more under control. Anyone else feel that way?

Anyway, I have a lot of odds and ends, and needed something cheerful. So, I took a variety of Yellow and Orange beads and strung them together. I call it the CITRUS BURST necklace. I love the bright colors. Well, that's all for today. I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!

I'm glad your friend is going to be okay.

I totally agree with you about organizing when life feels like it's getting out of control. It kinda feels like a fresh start or something...like your getting back on track.

I love the colors of your necklace. Citrus Burst is the perfect name for it :)

I hope your friend gets well soon. It's always difficult when we have no control over a situation.

I'm one of those obsessive compulsive types who organizes on a constant basis. A lot of times when I intend to do some crafting, I actually end up re-organizing instead. I can relate to the healing, calming, refreshing effects of a good "spring cleaning."

Speaking of spring, or the appalling lack thereof in these parts. Your necklace is perfect for bringing about a warm summery feeling. And the name is perfect.

Thanks for your comments and well wishes ladies! I had even better news yesterday afternoon. Although he's still recovering, my friend was feeling good enough for a quick chat on the phone. Sounds like he's own his way to being his usually happy and cheerful self :-) Yay!
