Where in the World?
Eze, France
This week on Where in the World Wednesday, we travel high atop a hill to the eagle's nest that is the medieval village of Eze, France. It's a fortified village on the French Riviera that is situated on a ste
ep an rocky peak just a hop, skip, and a few jumps from the country of Monaco. After a very long vertical walk up a very steep hill, we were greeted by some of the narrowest cobblestone streets I had ever seen. It was a French Provencal dream--rustic, old-world an elegant with
a warm, casual feel.

The cool thing about Eze is that its right above the Mediterranean. Something about that climate really gets to me, in a good way. The blues of the ocean, the greens of the hills, the yellow glow from the warm sun, and the pink hues reflected in all of the wonderful cobblestones.
Anyway, back in Capitola, memories of my
trip to Eze inspired
a little French Country
creativity of my own, so I created these earrings with Swarovski crystals in light rose, a
quamarine, yellow, and green on gold. Something about the colors reminds me of a day in Provence, or at least the birds-eye view of Provence from the village of Eze.
