Girlfriendology Interviews Capitola Girl About Finding Your Passion and Being a Good Girlfriend to Yourself

I was recently interviewed for a recorded podcast celebrating National Craft Month with DEBBA HAUPERT, creator of the popular female friendship website, Girlfriendology.com. Debba is also the author of the Girlfriendology and Girlfriendologytoo craft blogs, and author of The New Book of Image Transfer from Lark Books. You may also recognize her from her appearances on HGTV's Carol Duvall Show, the QVC network, and The Craft Lab on the DIY Network.

As a brand-spankin' newbie to the hobby and craft industry, as well as to blogging, being asked to take part in a podcast interview for National Craft Month was an honor. Girlfriendology's past podcasts interviews have included The Impatient Beader MARGOT POTTER, author/designer/host of PBS series Beads, Baubles and Jewels KATIE HACKER, and Target Red Hot Shops jewelry designer, KATHY CANO-MURILLO. My first thought when I got the Girlfriendology invitation was, did she really just ask to interview me? I seriously had to pinch myself, several times.

In today's podcast, I talk with Debba about the importance of letting your heart be your guide and about being a good girlfriend to yourself. We also talk about the steps that I have taken towards following the creative dreams in my heart. You see, as a woman, I'm no stranger to struggles of feeling lost, unhappy, insecure and without confidence. However, how YOU see yourself is what matters most of all. And how to feel good, is something you CAN teach yourself.

Finding your passion, learning what your limits are, and setting and enforcing your boundaries starts by developing an understanding about the things, actions, and behaviors that don't work for you. In my opinion, self-confidence is not something you are magically born with or just naturally have, its a skill that every woman has the ability to learn for herself. It starts by being the best and most supportive girlfriend that you can be. Not just to others, but to yourself.

The podcast is available download on the Girlfriendology podcast directory today. So, be sure to listen to my podcast talk with Debba Haupert by visiting her website at:

About This Blog

This blog first started as a way to share the inspiration behind jewelry making with family and friends. Next thing you know, my blogging became a hobby--complete with a logo!

In my not-so-virtual-reality, I'm a freelance technical and marketing communications consultant who spends her time doing geeky things in the high-tech industry. But my real fun comes from making jewelry, which you can find in my Etsy shop at: http://capitolagirl.etsy.com
