Make Me! Monday: Twisted Wire

It's Monday, and time for me to show you the beads that were screaming "Make Me!" over the weekend. This week, I made my own twisted bead wire cages to coordinate with some Red, Turquoise, and iridescent Aqua Czech glass beads. These beads have been waiting very patiently for me to create something with them.

I had put a new supply order in recently, and one of the new-to-me products that I've been wanting to try is to make jewelry using colored Artistic Wire. My supplier had this amazing Peacock-blue colored 20-gauge wire, which I then twisted, wrapped, and cut into bead cages. They fit perfectly over the red coral rounds that I used in my newest creation, which I'm appropriate naming the TWIST necklace. It's been uploaded to my jewelry shop at the online marketplace Etsy at:

I love red and blue together!

So pretty! I blogged today about my craft group and made a brief mention of a friend who made six figures last year selling her jewelry in high-end boutiques. (No online selling for her!) We are celebrating her success tonight as well as the group's 10 year anniversary.
I love to spin yarn red and blue yarns!

Awesome job with the wire and gorgeous bracelet. I'm also a big fan of that color combo!

I love the wire caging treatment with the contrast colour of the beads underneath poking through!

About This Blog

This blog first started as a way to share the inspiration behind jewelry making with family and friends. Next thing you know, my blogging became a hobby--complete with a logo!

In my not-so-virtual-reality, I'm a freelance technical and marketing communications consultant who spends her time doing geeky things in the high-tech industry. But my real fun comes from making jewelry, which you can find in my Etsy shop at: http://capitolagirl.etsy.com
