You Make My Day Award

Thanks for the "You Make My Day Award" Triz Designs!

Early this morning, Patrizia over at Triz Designs sent me a wonderful little brag badge called the You Make My Day Award. I was honored to receive it since Triz Designs is one of my very favorite (and recently featured) bead weavers. What a treat!

After a few hours of savoring that I had been on the receiving end of the award, its now my turn to pay the kudos forward and by passing the award along to five other bloggers who regularly write something that makes my day. So, without further ado, here is my list of award-winning bloggers:

1. Blooming Lily. I recently learned about this style blog that features great fashion, jewelry, and beauty products of artists that the author, Laurie, admires. I've been impressed by Laurie's professionalism and daily updates, so I am sending a You Make My Day Award her way.

2. The Beading Gem's Journal. Pearl is the author of a fantastic jewelry and beading blog that I visit often. As a jewelry-maker and seeker of knowledge, her well-researched articles and pearls of wisdom about beading and jewelry have become a regular part of my day. Thanks Pearl!

3. Etsy of the Week. Robin Lynne is a fellow Etsian who writes a really great feature blog that showcases the work of a different Etsy seller every week. She's been writing the blog for about 10 weeks so far, and is doing a fabulous job of it! Thanks for sharing your features with us Robin!

4. Etsy Bling. Through the Etsy Pimp Your Bling! group on Flickr, I came across the Etsy Bling blog. It's a daily blog featuring a different handmade item from sellers on Etsy. With all the competition between sellers on Etsy, Joe's blog is a great place to find information about Etsy artists that you might not yet have found or seen!

5. This is It! Creations. This is It! Creations is a husband and wife team who spread good vibes weekly by featuring indie artists who give back to others in some way. The artists they feature generally donate a portion of their profits to charity or they volunteer in time to a cause of community. It's an inspiring read, and also another blog that regularly makes my day!

About This Blog

This blog first started as a way to share the inspiration behind jewelry making with family and friends. Next thing you know, my blogging became a hobby--complete with a logo!

In my not-so-virtual-reality, I'm a freelance technical and marketing communications consultant who spends her time doing geeky things in the high-tech industry. But my real fun comes from making jewelry, which you can find in my Etsy shop at: http://capitolagirl.etsy.com
