Take Me Tuesday: FATU HIVA Jewelry

>> Tuesday, February 26, 2008

I've been in a travel mood because its been awhile since I've gone anyplace exotic. So, I put on my "travel dream" cap the other day and designed these two beautiful pieces of Russian Serpentine and Yellow Turquoise jewelry. I love the dark green and black with the pale green Chinese crystal and Czech glass accents, as well as the copper and brass. I named these pieces FATU HIVA, after the lush green colors I've seen in pictures. Fatu Hivs is one of the Marquesa islands (and a place I hope I to one day have an opportunity to visit).

Both of these items have been uploaded to my Etsy shop.

About This Blog

This blog first started as a way to share the inspiration behind jewelry making with family and friends. Next thing you know, my blogging became a hobby--complete with a logo!

In my not-so-virtual-reality, I'm a freelance technical and marketing communications consultant who spends her time doing geeky things in the high-tech industry. But my real fun comes from making jewelry, which you can find in my Etsy shop at: http://capitolagirl.etsy.com
