Get Swept Away with My New Wedding and Bridal Collection Now Available on Etsy

A few days ago, I mentioned that I was recently commissioned to make some wedding jewelry. Being asked to design a necklace and earring set for a day that many women dream about is really exciting. Not only am I flattered that this person admires my bead work, I think that being asked to make something that will be part of someone's lifelong memory is an honor for me.

I've enjoyed the challenge of coming up with ideas. In fact, its kind of temporarily turned me into something of a one-woman-wedding-jewelry factory. I think what I like about making wedding jewelry is the process. It's fascinating, and daunting. But its a honor to be able to design jewelry for such a special day, and flattering that my jewelry will be a part of someone's most cherished memories!

As I was thinking about ideas for her piece, I decided to bead up a few for my new shop on Etsy. To get started, I've just posted five new wedding pieces to my shop on Etsy just yesterday. There will definitely be more to add in the future. Let me know what you think!

About This Blog

This blog first started as a way to share the inspiration behind jewelry making with family and friends. Next thing you know, my blogging became a hobby--complete with a logo!

In my not-so-virtual-reality, I'm a freelance technical and marketing communications consultant who spends her time doing geeky things in the high-tech industry. But my real fun comes from making jewelry, which you can find in my Etsy shop at: http://capitolagirl.etsy.com
