Thursday Thoughts: Jewelry Designers Who Do Cool Stuff
On my internet travels (and believe me, I travel the internet A LOT!), I've run across so many wonderful and interesting ideas that people have come up with for helping others. Today, I had planned to write an entirely different post, but I'm saving that for next week. Instead, I wanted to write a few shouts about indie jewelry designers that are helping others out.
Peggy Li Creations: Peggy is a San Francisco based jewelry designer who donated four sets of her jewelry and two prom dresses to The Princess Project. Her jewelry has been featured on shows like Gray's Anatomy and publications like Oprah magazine. You can visit her website at: http://www.peggyli.com
This is It! Creations: Over in Danville, This is It! Creations makes handmade jewelry and eco-friendly paper goods that are available on Etsy. This is It! has also recently started a new blog called Artists Who Give Back. The blog features a wide variety of artists who give back to different charities. It's a really inspiring read.
Aunt Mary's Legacy: This is a shop that I found on Etsy today that really moved me. They create and sell Cancer Awareness bracelets in honor of their Aunt Mary, who passed in 2006. And, they donate 100% of their proceeds to American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. What a wonderful shop!
Well, those are my thoughts for this Thursday. Thanks to the artists above for taking an extra step to help others, its very inspirational!
