It's the Last Day of January, and Love is in the Air

Today's musings are about making a second sale this week on Etsy, and my first official commission since the first of the year for wedding jewelry. Its the last day of January, and love is in the air.

I was feeling a little down yesterday, but its funny how friends and good fortune can alter the spin that I've put on my day. Today for Thursday Thoughts, I thought I'd share that I've made my second sale on Etsy. I sold a pair of earrings that were purchased as a Valentine's gift. My new customer bought these LOVE STACK earrings which was part of the LOVE collection on my shop on Etsy.

In addition to making a second online sale this week, I thought it was very cool to find out that some Capitola Girl Jewelry is going to make someone's Valentine's Day special. I so hope that the recipeint likes it. And, since there is no way I'd do anything to mess with gifty-love, I am off to the post office today to mail the earrings so that it will arrive in plenty of time to give as a gift this Valentine's Day!


With all the excitement about making my second sale this week, it was almost freaky when I got two separate calls from friends yesterday. One with a potential writing job on the East Coast (don't worry friends, Capitola Girl is NOT considering moving to the East for this simple fact that "Princeton Girl" doesn't have the same ring). The other, was for a jewelry commission for my friend's niece's wedding. Did I mention how much I am loving the jewelry thing? After the post office, and some work phone calls, I'm going to start designing some wedding earrings and a matching necklace.

Being asked to make jewelry for other people's special occassions is groovy :-)
