Save Me! Sunday: I've Become Obsessed with Making Valentine's Day Jewelry

With Valentine's Day coming up, I've been on the hunt for unusual beads that blend well with red and pink, so that I can make a few new pieces for my "LOVE COLLECTION." So yesterday, I was inspired to sit down and make some new necklaces using big clear glass rounds that remind me of marbles. I decided to go with pinks and reds to get in the Valentine's Day spirit, and now I'm obsessed with making red and pink jewelry. Here are a few pieces that I just uploaded to my Etsy shop this morning:

LOVELY Necklace
In this lovely red necklace, I used clear glass rounds, red glass, African bone bead, and red miracle beads. This item is available on my Etsy shop at:

FLIRTY Necklace
In this fun and flirty necklace, I used clear glass rounds, frosted half-moon beads, African bone spacers, pink crystals, and red and orange seed bead accents. This item is available on my Etsy shop at: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=9040483

About This Blog

This blog first started as a way to share the inspiration behind jewelry making with family and friends. Next thing you know, my blogging became a hobby--complete with a logo!

In my not-so-virtual-reality, I'm a freelance technical and marketing communications consultant who spends her time doing geeky things in the high-tech industry. But my real fun comes from making jewelry, which you can find in my Etsy shop at: http://capitolagirl.etsy.com
