Welcome to Saturday Sparkle!

To start the New Year off, I thought I'd announce a new featured artist spot here on the Capitola Girl Jewelry blog. Every Saturday, we'll be showing off new beaded crystal treasures that have been made by independent jewelry artists. If you are jewelry artist/designer who would like to see your jewelry sparkle with mention on my blog, here's what you need to do:

(1) Send an email with the subject line "I want to sparkle" to:
saturdaysparkle [at] capitolagirl [dot] com

(2) Include one photo or a URL of one photo of your handmade jewelry piece. The piece must use crystal beads (they can be Swarovski, Celestial, Chinese...as long as your piece sparkles and is predominantly made of crystal). To be included in the post, your submission must be received by 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time on Wednesday of each week.

(3) Include the title of your piece, your name and/or your company name, a short summary of the materials you used, and the URL to your website and/or online shop.

On Saturday, I'll post a picture of your jewelry piece with the appropriate credits and include a link to your blog and online shop. I will also send you an email to give you a head's up that your jewelry piece has been featured on Saturday Sparkle.

These earrings by Capitola Girl feature four strands of chinese crystals and japanese seed beads, and one strand of tube glass with japanese seeds. They dangle gracefully from silver chain and silver metal french ear hooks.

About This Blog

This blog first started as a way to share the inspiration behind jewelry making with family and friends. Next thing you know, my blogging became a hobby--complete with a logo!

In my not-so-virtual-reality, I'm a freelance technical and marketing communications consultant who spends her time doing geeky things in the high-tech industry. But my real fun comes from making jewelry, which you can find in my Etsy shop at: http://capitolagirl.etsy.com
