Lotus Earrings

Don't you love the shape and texture of these frosted half-oval glass beads? When Capitola Girl saw them at a local craft store, she instantly envisioned them as stems holding a garden of lotus flowers, which are represented by the ecru glass pearls.
And, the timing on finding those beads couldn't have been more perfect. Because its right in line with the theme of New Year's Resolution #2: LOSING THE 20 POUNDS OF CHOCOLATE THAT I'VE GAINED. And, we will start with Yoga class. So, while Capitola Girl is sitting in the Lotus position in class with her eye's closed tonight, know that she's going to be pretending that she's this pair Lotus earrings. Calm, serene, and elegant with a super skinny waist.
These earrings were created using silver metal findings, glass beads, and glass pearls.
Happy Thursday!

I love how you use very different combinations of beads for your jewelry designs

Thanks Beading Gem! And, I love the post you wrote about pearls and superstitions associated with bridal wear. I had no idea, and love reading things that are interesting! Congrats on your first year of blogging!

About This Blog

This blog first started as a way to share the inspiration behind jewelry making with family and friends. Next thing you know, my blogging became a hobby--complete with a logo!

In my not-so-virtual-reality, I'm a freelance technical and marketing communications consultant who spends her time doing geeky things in the high-tech industry. But my real fun comes from making jewelry, which you can find in my Etsy shop at: http://capitolagirl.etsy.com
