Darn, One Step Away from Being the Crazy Cat Lady of Capitola

>> Monday, January 21, 2008

One of my biggest fears is that if I write a post about my cat, I might be one step away from becoming one of those crazy cat ladies you read about. And, there is nothing so sexy as a single, crazy cat lady who says "aw cute" too much.... Men just love it. But, sometimes my kitty's little surprises are too cute, and today I just have to share...

Growing up, I was always a dog person. But, after I moved to Capitola, I somehow acquired a Cat. In truth, the cat acquired me by force. He just wouldn't go away. He came around, and came around, and the next thing I know, I'm paying his vet bills. Now, he's been my kitty for years. He's a fixture in my house, my personal alarm clock, and always reminds me when its dinner time.

This afternoon, it was freezing cold outside, and I hadn't heard from my Cat all day. I called and called, and he wasn't around. I decided that I'd go to my studio and bead for awhile, and when I got to my bead chair, I had to laugh. Who was sleeping soundly in my seat? My Kitty! My Russian Blue! I didn't have the heart to wake him, for fear of retaliation, since this Cat is the true master of my house. So, I decided that I'd have to bead later while he caught up on his beauty winks. Ahhh sleep!

Digg!

About This Blog

This blog first started as a way to share the inspiration behind jewelry making with family and friends. Next thing you know, my blogging became a hobby--complete with a logo!

In my not-so-virtual-reality, I'm a freelance technical and marketing communications consultant who spends her time doing geeky things in the high-tech industry. But my real fun comes from making jewelry, which you can find in my Etsy shop at: http://capitolagirl.etsy.com
