A Little Pink Frosting for a Down Day

After taking a few days off to visit family for Thanksgiving, Capitola Girl is back and has plenty of stories to tell, as well as a whole new perspective on dating and life. Some while ago, Capitola Girl met someone that she really liked. For the first time since she moved to the Bay Area, she really felt like she met one of those great guys people always talk about, but never seem to materialize. He was smart, he treated her with respect, he seemed genuine, and what made Capitola Girl smile the most was that he was nice and showed what she thought was a real interest in her. But, it turns out, he was nothing that he had pretended to be. When they first met, this so-called great guy told Capitola Girl and her friends that he was divorced. While he was telling the truth about that, he was divorced only from his first wife. He failed to mention that he was still married to his second wife. Oops.

Capitola Girl thinks its pretty crappy to hide the fact that you are married from people who you pretend to like. Not only does hiding your marital status from others have the potential to hurt your spouse, it isn't exactly fun for a single woman to find that she has been unwittingly duped. Meeting and trusting someone that proves not to be trustworthy hurts. Capitola Girl doesn't understand why people cheat on their spouses, or why a man would pretend to be available when he is not, but this little adventure in dating really took a bite out of her heart. Capitola Girl feels like bad frosting on someone else's wedding cake.

And speaking of frosting, this bracelet and earring set features pink murano foil squares, pink foil rounds, and pink crystals with silver accents.

Sorry to hear about the jerkwad but nice to see something so pretty come out of it! Love this shade of pink.
