The Firewalk Necklace

Im a firestarter, twisted firestarter Youre the firestarter, twisted firestarter Im a firestarter, twisted firestarter - Prodigy (The Fat of the Land)

Capitola Girl owns a firepit, and so do most of her friends. She's earned the nickname of "firestarter," not because she's a pyromaniac, but because she's fascinated by her ability to start it. She used to be afraid of fire, but she overcame her irrational fear, so when lighting the fire is her job, she sings this Prodigy song.

This Capitola Girl necklace and earring set is hand-crafted from blackstone chips, burgundy freshwater pearls, smoky leopardskin jasper and a natural rhodonite oval pendant. She calls it the firewalk necklace because the colors look like a bed of hot coals, and firewalking is something she'd be interested in checking out, but probably won't try in this lifetime. But, then again...who knows? Capitola Girl has said the same thing about other stuff she hadn't tried before, and ended up loving it. But, then again, why play with fire when she can wear it instead?

About This Blog

This blog first started as a way to share the inspiration behind jewelry making with family and friends. Next thing you know, my blogging became a hobby--complete with a logo!

In my not-so-virtual-reality, I'm a freelance technical and marketing communications consultant who spends her time doing geeky things in the high-tech industry. But my real fun comes from making jewelry, which you can find in my Etsy shop at: http://capitolagirl.etsy.com
