The Spotted Necklace

When I don't have any ideas, I pick up fabric and start working with it and something happens.

Geoffrey Beene
Capitola Girl liked this quote, because most of the time, she does the very same thing, only with beads. Unless she's working on special order items, she never lays necklaces out on a bead board prior to stringing them. She just sits in her studio surrounded by boxes of beads and decides what goes next on the string (or AccuFlex, in this case).
This week, Capitola Girl unpacked a handful of these dalmation-like glass beads, and decided to do something with them. What ended up happening that day was this spotted necklace. It features dalmation-spotted glass beads, heishe shell, dalmation jasper, and gold pearls.
Happy Friday!

About This Blog

This blog first started as a way to share the inspiration behind jewelry making with family and friends. Next thing you know, my blogging became a hobby--complete with a logo!

In my not-so-virtual-reality, I'm a freelance technical and marketing communications consultant who spends her time doing geeky things in the high-tech industry. But my real fun comes from making jewelry, which you can find in my Etsy shop at: http://capitolagirl.etsy.com
