A Thousand Flowers

Today's bracelet and earring set features etched glass beads in an orange-brown color, millefiori beads, with clear crystal and gold accents.

In Italian, millefiori means "one thousand flowers." In beading, it means beautiful glass cane and rod beads that have been torched under fire. Capitola Girl wishes she had a thousand more millefiori beads, because they combine two of her favorite things: Pretty flowers and unique jewelry.

About This Blog

This blog first started as a way to share the inspiration behind jewelry making with family and friends. Next thing you know, my blogging became a hobby--complete with a logo!

In my not-so-virtual-reality, I'm a freelance technical and marketing communications consultant who spends her time doing geeky things in the high-tech industry. But my real fun comes from making jewelry, which you can find in my Etsy shop at: http://capitolagirl.etsy.com
