Red Coral and Fiber Optic Beaded Necklace
Capitola Girl is still on her blue, red, and green kick and this chunky choker necklace proves it. This necklace features five large coral branches that are dyed red by mangrove dye. It's accented by smaller coral chips, round blue fiber optic beads, and lime green seed beads.
For those who aren't familiar with fiber optics, these beads are made from quartz fibers, just like modern telephone wire. These particular beads are A-grade, and are amazingly sparkly in the light.

About This Blog

This blog first started as a way to share the inspiration behind jewelry making with family and friends. Next thing you know, my blogging became a hobby--complete with a logo!

In my not-so-virtual-reality, I'm a freelance technical and marketing communications consultant who spends her time doing geeky things in the high-tech industry. But my real fun comes from making jewelry, which you can find in my Etsy shop at: http://capitolagirl.etsy.com
