Mission to Mars Necklace
Greetings earthgirls! Welcome to Mars! Home of large volcanos, tall mountains, deep canyons, and wide temperature swings. It's also the legendary emission source and popular explanation for some significant interplanetary differences between women and men.
When a package of burgundy picture jasper discs landed on Capitola Girl's door the other day, she immediately emerged from her spacecraft exclaiming, "These look like the Red Planet!" So, being temporarily abducted by the desire to explore the divergent nature of the Alpha/Beta argument, Capitola Girl set off to bridge the communication gap and resolve at least one battle in the war of the sexes--with this fabulous necklace.
Contrary to popular belief, earthgirls aren't all that easy to dissect, at least the ones on Planet Santa Cruz aren't. And, despite how Venutians claim superior intelligence, a Martians tentacles aren't always out to destroy. So, as a result of her internal quest into the nature of the Mars/Venus disconnect, Capitola Girl produced the Mission to Mars necklace. The bold focal point contrasts starkly with the delicate seed bead strands, a reflection of earthly life, as well as an illustration of how the relationships juxtaposing Venus from Mars can actually be a wonderful complement.
This stunning necklace is the first piece to land in Capitola Girl's soon-to-be-growing Interplanetary War of the Sexes Collection (just kidding, but maybe not). It features a single burgundy picture jasper disc bead and is framed by two simple silver swirls. It's octopus-like burgundy, silver, and intricate Czech bead strands represent all that is Martian, and yet delicately Venutian. What an exquisite system.
One last observation from Capitola Girl on extraterrestrial life: Althought we might not always understand the weird, vague, and confusing logic that Martians sometimes use on us, being from Mars doesn't perpetually entitle Venus to be cleared for take off. Especially if she's planning a trip to Mars. Sometimes, Venutians can be seriously weird too.
Welp. Mission successful earthgirls. This is Capitola Girl, saying "Over and out!"
