The Leopard's Pride and a Herd Zebra

As some of you know, Capitola Girl really wants to travel to the Serengeti one day, and since her dream of venturing on a safari have not yet come to pass, she took a short bead safari instead. This necklace stows all the gear for a successful trip into the wilderness--its got courage (leopard), individuality (zebra), and beneficient fate (pearls).

This necklace features greed zebra coins, tumbled leopardskin jasper beads, gray freshwater pearls, and white glass pearls with gray cat's eye and silver seed beed accents. So, while Capitola Girl won't be jetting off for a safari anytime soon, she'll be waiting at home with a little piece of the wilderness wrapped around her neck!

About This Blog

This blog first started as a way to share the inspiration behind jewelry making with family and friends. Next thing you know, my blogging became a hobby--complete with a logo!

In my not-so-virtual-reality, I'm a freelance technical and marketing communications consultant who spends her time doing geeky things in the high-tech industry. But my real fun comes from making jewelry, which you can find in my Etsy shop at: http://capitolagirl.etsy.com
