Capitola Girl says: “Make a Lemonade Necklace!"
Sometimes things don’t work out the way we hope, and in Capitola Girl’s life its become a recurring theme in dating. She recently met someone that she thought she had a lot of potential, but as it turns out, he “had a change of feeling.” In response, a wise friend told Capitola Girl that “When someone can’t see past the superficial, he or she is choosing to be like one of those people who won’t buy a house because they think the wallpaper is ugly. They just aren’t willing to look into the potential.”
Today, Capitola Girl finds herself trying to appreciate a mouthful of rinds, because a dude she liked threw her a lemon. Looking on the bright side, as she tries to do lately, Capitola Girl transformed her temporary feelings of disappointment and sadness into a happy yellow and pink lemonade necklace. Which, unlike this particular dude, is destined to become part of her permanent collection! LOL.Featuring yellow and rose-colored glass beads (ahh...tragic!), the Lemonade Necklace offers a word of encouragement for any person who can relate to Capitola Girl's recent disappointment.
“Having the courage to let go of preconceived notions and expectations opens yourself up to some meaningful lessons. Every date that doesn't work out as you expected brings you one step closer to meeting a partner who might better appreciate your potential.”
