The Jupiter Bracelet

For the past few days, Capitola Girl has been facinated by the solar system, and how remarkably similar some gemstones are to the planets. Capitola Girl also likes experimenting with color combinations she hasn't used before, and this experiment embodies all things Jupiter.
This bracelet and earring set features recycled paper beads from Bead for Life in a variety of Azure colors (in heraldry, the tincture azure represents Jupiter). It also features orange jasper rounds, which looks like the planet Jupiter. It's enough to send Capitola Girl into orbit!

About This Blog

This blog first started as a way to share the inspiration behind jewelry making with family and friends. Next thing you know, my blogging became a hobby--complete with a logo!

In my not-so-virtual-reality, I'm a freelance technical and marketing communications consultant who spends her time doing geeky things in the high-tech industry. But my real fun comes from making jewelry, which you can find in my Etsy shop at: http://capitolagirl.etsy.com
