International Necklace
Being a party girl at heart, Capitola Girl never needs much of an excuse to celebrate. So...in recognition of the official close of her first 30 days as a beaded jewelry blogger... she decided to make the International Necklace.
The International Necklace showcases glass, metal, ceramic, shell, bone, lucite, gemstone, and wood beads--beads with production histories spanning the globe. It also captures the colors from all of the nation's flags (and probably then some)! Capitola Girl intentionally set out to make this beaded choker necklace as a tribute to all of the people from around the world who have taken time to visit her Capitola Girl Jewerly project blog in the first month. She checks her statcounter regularly, and has a little-too-much-geeky-fun seeing how many international visitors her site has had in just one month.
After her first 30 days as a bead blogging geekster comes to a close, one could say that Capitola Girl is truly savoring (and grateful for) all of the nice compliments, encouragment, and positive feedback that she's received from her family and friends! So, to mark the end-of-the-first-month-anniversary-blog, Capitola Girl posted this necklace to say to "Thanks for stopping by!" And, to also add her trademark phrase, "Blogging is splendid!"
