Coral, Chrysoprase and Turquoise

Now that fall is nearly upon us, Capitola Girl thought a necklace of orange coral coins, blue turquoise chips, and green chrysoprase rounds was a good way to bring back the happy memories of summer. Summer is Capitola Girl's favorite season, and she is really sorry to have to say goodbye to this one!

Although she's told you about coral and turquoise before, Capitola Girl didn't know much about chrysoprase, so she had to learn. The gemstone info that she learned today is that chrysoprase is one of the 12 precious stones talked about in the Bible, for building the walls of New Jerusaleum. If you don't believe her, you can read about it in the book of Revelation. Another one of the 12 precious stones listed was jasper. Hmmm...Capitola Girl uses a lot of jasper in her creations, after she buys the other 10, you might soon see a new necklace creation on her blog soon.

Crazy about coral? See the Watermelon Necklace.

About This Blog

This blog first started as a way to share the inspiration behind jewelry making with family and friends. Next thing you know, my blogging became a hobby--complete with a logo!

In my not-so-virtual-reality, I'm a freelance technical and marketing communications consultant who spends her time doing geeky things in the high-tech industry. But my real fun comes from making jewelry, which you can find in my Etsy shop at: http://capitolagirl.etsy.com
