Cool, Blue Miracles
Well, Capitola Girl started the day wondering about one thing, and spent the afternoon worrying about something totally unexpected. She started the day pretty self-absorbed only thinking about what she wanted to happen, and when she turned on the Telly, saw her San Diego hometown was buring!
So... between phone calls from friends checking up on family, and family checking up on friends, Capitola Girl was starting to feel a little frantic. Since there's not much one can do from 500 miles away except tell family and friends that you love them, Capitola Girl decided to decompress from all the stimulation of the afternoon with a quick little beading. It's odd how natural disasters remind us of who's most important! Mom and Dad are fine, they're sitting in the house a little bored 'cause they can't do anything but watch television!
So, silly as is might seem given the gravity of this disaster, Capitola Girl picked the color for these cool, blue miracle bead earrings with a little hope and a little prayer that the Santa Ana winds will stop wreaking havoc on San Diego! Thanks to everyone who called Capitola Girl today to see if her family is all right. As a matter of fact, they are doing just fine. Between the landslide earlier this month and the fires of the past few day's, Capitola Girl is starting to think her family and friends should consider moving to Capitola.

About This Blog

This blog first started as a way to share the inspiration behind jewelry making with family and friends. Next thing you know, my blogging became a hobby--complete with a logo!

In my not-so-virtual-reality, I'm a freelance technical and marketing communications consultant who spends her time doing geeky things in the high-tech industry. But my real fun comes from making jewelry, which you can find in my Etsy shop at: http://capitolagirl.etsy.com
