About the Logo

>> Wednesday, October 17, 2007

The Capitola Girl name captures the childlike innocence that lies in the heart of every woman. A Capitola Girl is traditionally feminine, upbeat, confident, and dynamic. Her interests are varied and always evolving.

The silohuette selected for the logo represents a woman's ability to live in harmony with herself and others. She uses her strength wisely, and always makes choices that are true to her heart. Above all, she embraces the power of all things girly.

The logo was created in 2007 by Capitola Girl using Logomaker by HP. It took forever to find the font designer used for the Capitola Girl name, but I think his Fontesque font is awesome: http://www.shinntype.com/fontesque.html

About This Blog

This blog first started as a way to share the inspiration behind jewelry making with family and friends. Next thing you know, my blogging became a hobby--complete with a logo!

In my not-so-virtual-reality, I'm a freelance technical and marketing communications consultant who spends her time doing geeky things in the high-tech industry. But my real fun comes from making jewelry, which you can find in my Etsy shop at: http://capitolagirl.etsy.com
